Intro to Future Dr. Stevie
Stevie shares about why they are switching from Substack to Ghost and a little bit about their intentions for this site.
Welcome to my new Future Dr. Stevie site that officially launched in April 2025!
For those of you that already know me, you won't be surprised by this but I decided to leave Substack because I could not ethically support the fact that Substack's owners knowingly profit off of and platform known Nazi's/White Supremacists. That's a hardline for me. Nazi's do not deserve a platform to easily spread their vile hatred.
Over the past few months, I have been on the search for something different and finally, I found it. This site is called Ghost and it's independent and 100% funded by its users. As is often stated among professionals within the social media world, if you don’t pay for it, you are the product. Ghost as a platform does not have investors nor do they have White Supremacist bigots here.
This platform has a strict anti-hate policy; as they state in their Code of Conduct, "Don't be a Dick". Their examples of "dickery" include being continuously rude, negative, divisive, combative, or abrasive toward anyone within the Ghost community. Additionally, sexist, racist, heterosexist, or other hateful remarks will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Sadly, this behavior is par for the course on Substack but here on Ghost they're setting a different precedent. We're already off to a great start!
For those of you that are currently using Substack, I ask that you reflect on whether supporting that platform is congruent with your own morals/ethics.
In fact, this misalignment of belief and action is what often creates strife, dissatisfaction, and hurt in our own lives. As our self-awareness further develops, our job is to notice that and change course.
All of this aside, I want to take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself and my intention for this site, especially for those of you who do not know me yet. For a more in-depth understanding of my work, you can head on over to my About page.
In quick summation...
my life‘s work centers the convergence of science, spirituality, holistic medicine, and advocating for unseen challenges in the world...
especially regarding injustices against those that are gender & sexually expansive (LGBTQIA+), a community of which I am a part as a trans feminine person living in this harshly anti-queer & trans world.
My work serves as a healing force not only against the injustice I have personally faced growing up as a Christian Pastor’s Kid but against what others face as well.
Something you'll come to learn about me is that I'm simultaneously heart-centered and incisive; my work actively centers the disruption of harm faced by marginalized communities.
Recently, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the fact that as I have progressed in life and become the person I am today, I have become the adult that little Stevie needed when I was younger. That little "boy" who knew even with their childhood awareness that there was some deeper truth within that wanted to be uncaged and expressed would marvel at who I have now become.
As you can see, I have already started sharing deep inner truths about myself and this is only my first blog. My hope is that my own inner life can serve as a gentle reflection for you along your journey. Whereas I do plan on occasionally sharing aspects of my own life journey here, this is not the sole intention of me creating this Ghost site.
My ultimate intention is to share my passion for the integration of science, spirituality, and holistic medicine which are areas that I’ve studied and practiced for over 15 years along my own journey of seeking, healing, and transformation.

All that I ask of you as my reader is that you come with an open mind and recognize that I practice a non-colonial medicine where science & spirituality are not at odds with one another but are both epistemologies of the greater whole that can transform the human body, mind, and spirit.
